A TRIP TO PORTUGAL...

Today I leave for a ten-day trip to Portugal with my daughter-in-law.  I have never been to this country, and I am looking forward to experiencing the culture.  We will be spending two days in Lisbon before we meet our Road Scholar companions.  From the looks of the itinerary we will have an opportunity to visit museums, palaces, farms, and city life.

Unfortunately, I don't speak the language; so I hope English is common there.  I wish that there had been more emphasis on learning other languages when I was growing up.  Now, at my age, it is much more difficult!  Thank goodness for Google translate!

My grandson is on a Fulbright in Greece, and he plans to join us for a couple of days.  I would say that he is getting quite an education this year.

I'll try to take good notes and some pictures that I can post after I return.
